Kentucky State Law – How Beauty School Must Operate
Every beauty school in Kentucky must operate under the same strict rules set by the Kentucky State Board of Cosmetology.
There are no exceptions:
- Clock hours are required – Just like a job, you must log in and log out when you arrive and leave.
- Licensed facility requirement – All your study, whether theory or practical, must take place inside the school’s licensed facility.
- Instructor presence – By law, a licensed instructor must be available with you at all times while you are clocked in.
